SANS VIE is set less then 50 years from now in the French district of Seattle, Washington. Society has decayed  in the aftermath of the technological age. People have grown accustomed to little or no human interaction.    Paige an artist on the outs meets Jolie her neighbor and becomes curious about the strength it would take to be alone and not need anyone while Jolie begins to admire Paige's ability to be outgoing and sociable. The two begin a relationship that looks at friendships, loneliness and living life.

SANS VIE asks the question, "What does this world have to offer?" The answer unfolds in the story of Paige(Dixi Lee and Jolie(Melissa Roberts). Jolies pursuits are inward, working online, bettering herself through therapy and leading a quiet life. Paige is on the outs in her social circles and after meeting Jolie is becoming more and more curious about her. Their interactions connect universally with audiences, inspiring dialogue on loneliness, friendships and love. It was the intent of writer director Matthew Morris to not answer any of these questions but to tell a story of two lives coming together in a way that we can all relate to.

Q: Why French?                                                                                                                                                          A: I wanted to make a French film. During a recast we for a moment thought of doing everything in English the script and story however would not be the same so we stayed with French. It is part of the tapestry of the world I wanted to create.

Q: OK, so what is with some of the off French and different dialects?                                                              A: Yes. It takes place in the French District of Seattle, so most are not native speakers and some actually want to live in this district that don't even speak French. Imagine China town or an International District you would have all different levels of fluency.

Q: Why less then fifty years?                                                                                                                                 A: The pursuit of love and happiness is a timeless story, so I wanted to put it all into our indefinable futures.
